The primary purpose of the Children’s Library is to begin the process of creating the life-long reader. Children’s staff provide services to children from infants through middle school, their care givers and teachers. The staff selects appropriate materials, provides information services, teaches library skills, and plans and executes all information programs for Meriden’s youth. Children Programs
Programs are offered for children from age 6 months to 12 years. Weekly story hour programs, carnivals, author visits, drop-in playtime, storytellers and craft programs are just a few of the many exciting and varied activities offered throughout the year.
