Now MERIDEN PUBLIC LIBRARY  patrons with access to Microsoft Media Player can check out downloadable audiobooks with their Library Card! Choose from hundreds of popular titles right from your web browser and access them with our free OverDrive Media Console software. If you have a supported portable audio player, you can even listen on the go!

 DIGITAL MEDIA GUIDED TOUR Using the LIBRARIES ONLINE is easy! If you need help, here's a quick guided tour created by OverDrive, the company that provides downloadable service for us and many other libraries. The guide walks you through the basics, from getting started to downloading to burning to a CD. In just a few minutes, even the newest user can be enjoying a downloaded title.   

Bookmobile Calendar
The Bookmobile visits daycare centers, nursery schools, nursing homes and neighborhoods throughout Meriden.

Children's Events
Programs are offered for children from age 6 months to 12 years. Weekly story hour programs, carnivals, author visits, drop-in playtime, storytellers and craft programs are just a few of the many exciting and varied activities offered throughout the year. Adult Events
A variety of free programs are offered throughout the year including guest speakers, concerts, demonstrations, displays, book discussions, art exhibits and many other special events.  Please visit the Library Calendar for specific times and events.

Passes to Museums/Attractions
The Meriden Public Library offers passes for free and reduced entrance to a variety of museums and attractions throughout Connecticut.

Meriden Ornaments
Meriden Ornaments have been produced by the Meriden Public Library Local History Department since 1994.  Each pewter medallion is manufactured by Woodbury Pewter and features a Meriden historical landmark.
